Job Title: Conflicts Analyst - New Business

Location: Palo Alto, CA | San Francisco, CA

Salary Pay Range and Other Compensation: $72,000 to $105,000 annually
• The salary range for this position is expected to be between $72,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Hybrid


About the Role:

We are seeking a Conflicts Analyst - New Business to support the new business intake process by conducting research and analysis to identify and resolve potential conflicts of interest. This role serves as a critical first point of review for new matters and plays a key role in ensuring accurate data collection, compliance, and risk assessment. The position offers opportunities for growth within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform initial review of conflicts requests and gather complete and accurate information from submitters
• Compile conflicts reports using internal databases and external corporate research tools
• Prepare New Client Evaluation reports identifying ethical, financial, and reputational risks
• Collaborate with Conflicts Staff Attorneys to summarize required actions for resolving potential conflicts
• Conduct AML and client due diligence research to verify client data and assess risk
• Support improvements in data quality and intake processes
• Serve as an initial point of contact during the new business intake process
• Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant research or analytical experience in a legal, professional services, or academic environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Conflicts or compliance experience in a law firm environment preferred
• Experience with corporate research tools such as Capital IQ, Dun and Bradstreet, or Bureau van Dijk preferred
• Familiarity with conflicts systems such as Elite, LegalKey, or Intapp preferred
