Location: Laurel, MD 20723
Schedule: Training: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM, Monday Friday for 4 weeks Shift After Training: 4:00 PM 12:30 AM, Monday Friday
Pay: $19.00 $21.00 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Warehouse Picker / Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations in a food manufacturing facility. This role primarily involves operating a forklift to pick, move, and stage ingredients while ensuring accuracy, proper weight calculations, and adherence to food safety standards.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers, can follow recipes and pick lists precisely, and takes pride in doing the job right.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift daily to pick, move, and stage ingredients and finished goods
- Accurately pick ingredients based on batch sheets, pick lists, and work orders
- Perform basic math calculations (weights, quantities, counts, lot numbers)
- Verify correct ingredients, quantities, and lot codes before staging or shipping
- Lift, move, and transport materials weighing 50 pounds or more
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements
- Maintain organized storage areas and rotate products based on expiration dates
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse policies
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Warehouse picking experience in food manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow pick lists, batch sheets, and labels accurately
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred not required)
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
