Special Education Teacher Opportunity Adams, MA (Onsite)

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in a school setting located in Adams, Massachusetts. This contract role focuses on supporting students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities in substantially separate classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students in K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade rooms with severe disabilities.
• Support students requiring toileting assistance and those with varying communication needs, including non-verbal students and some on the autism spectrum.
• Collaborate effectively with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) support where applicable.
• Develop and implement specially designed instruction tailored to individual student needs.
• Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to enhance student learning and behavior management.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in substantially separate special education classrooms.
• Knowledge of specially designed instruction principles.
• Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies preferred.
• Ability to manage severe caseloads involving students with multiple and significant disabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Onsite availability required (no remote options).
