Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for Special Education Teachers dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments for students from elementary through high school levels. Serving a school district in West Columbia, SC, from August 7, 2024, to May 28, 2025, these contract positions offer a chance to work within diverse specialized settings including resource classrooms, learning disabilities self-contained, emotional disabilities self-contained, and COAP programs.
Positions are available across elementary (7:00 am 2:30 pm), middle (8:00 am 3:00 pm), and high school (8:00 am 3:30 pm) schedules, providing a variety of daily routines and student age groups. These roles require candidates to hold a valid Special Education (SPED) license along with a teaching certificate endorsed for Learning Disabilities or Multicategorical Special Education. Candidates will engage in instruction tailored to individual education plans, collaborate with school teams, and meet district standards for supporting student growth.
