Job Description
Job Summary Thehousekeeping/ Houseman is responsible for maintain cleanliness, organizationand overall upkeep of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces duringthe swing shift. This role also involves delivering guest requests,transporting supplies and equipment, and safely operating vehicles, including apick-up truck.
Responsibilities - Clean assigned guest rooms, common areas, offices, storage units and outside property according to preset standards and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to strip rooms, making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning cars, carpets and trash pickup.
- Maintain cleanliness and order hallways, stairwells, public restrooms, carpets and common areas.
- Assist with moving furniture, stocking, delivery of supplies, amenities, equipment throughout the property and support other departments.
- Operate a property pick up truck safely to transport supplies, linen, deliveries or equipment between locations as required.
- Ensure proper use, storage and maintenance of cleaning equipment, supplies and vehicles.
- Keep all storage rooms, carts and equipment neat and orderly according to preset standards and procedures.
- Turn in all articles found in vacated rooms immediately and handle according to lost and found procedures.
- Report maintenance problems immediately.
- Report damages immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Housekeeping Manager.
- Follow established chemical, safety and sanitation procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay Range $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous Experience Housekeeping preferred.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, push/pull, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid drivers license preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, methods, and chemicals preferred.
- Good communications skills required for interaction with hotel guests.
- Flexibility to work swing shift hours, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
