Job Description

Overview The Marketing Associate will use creative and organizational skills to bring to life a wide array of fundraising and awareness programs for clients. Responsibilities include being part of a working team that conceptualizes, plans, and implements marketing campaigns, which can include earned and paid advertising campaigns, brand development and building, digital activation, special events, and experiential marketing. The marketing associate will develop plans, strategic pathways, manage client projects, social media, on‑site activations/events, timelines, and budgets. 1st Degree, a Moore company, is a communications and brand strategy partner for purpose-driven organizations. Responsibilities Research and create marketing strategies and implementation plans/timelines for multiple client campaigns and define tasks needed to implement those strategies. Coordinate client meetings and collaborate with copywriters, graphic designers, digital vendors, and others to create integrated marketing content. Conceptualize, create, and manage content calendar and scheduling deadlines. Support budget tracking and reporting. Develop project contracts, manage their review, approval, and client submission. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products, vendors, and client base to implement effective marketing/awareness campaigns. Communicate effectively with excellent writing skills across multiple writing styles, including emails, proposals, statements of work, document editing, and briefs. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with teammates, clients, and external vendors. Display strong decision‑making for on‑site event activations to support broader campaign strategy. Design and implement ongoing social media campaigns for multiple clients, including organic posting and monitoring. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Recent, strong college internships or two or more years of work experience in an agency or related professional environment. Bachelor’s degree required. Background in a full suite of marketing tactics, including digital, advertising creation, placement, and creative development. Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, friendly, dependable, and proactive. Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, highly organized, and manage multiple projects consistently. Experience with shared project management software, Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Workfront, and Google Workspace. Working knowledge of AI products (Co‑Pilot, Creator, ChatGPT, etc.). Experience using social media content management programs (Sprout Social, HootSuite, etc.). Experience creating presentation decks using Canva and/or PowerPoint required. Ability to collaborate with team members, creative professionals, and clients. Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Ability to travel required, up to 15‑20%.
