Wyoming, MI (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) 12-month CTH $28-30/hr Our large food distribution client is looking for an eager-to-learn Software Engineer to join their IT team- supporting Supply Chain Transportation. What You Will Receive: As an Elevate consultant you will be immersed in a supportive learning environment that includes: Full-time, entry-level IT career (40hrs week) Technical Training (80-100 hours): Receive focused, hands‑on technical training. This training is designed to build upon your existing knowledge and equip you with practical skills for your role, which is customized to you and your positions technology stack. Professional Development: Enhance your soft skills, communication, and business acumen through dedicated professional development sessions. Mentorship: Be paired with experienced mentors who will provide guidance, support, and insights as you navigate your early IT career. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree field 0-1 year of professional experience Internship is a nice to have, but not required! Strong object‑oriented programming skills Attitude and aptitude to learn! Responsibilities: Analyze existing systems and solutions to understand current functionality and identify opportunities to meet evolving business needs Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable applications Create and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and application reliability Document all technical changes, enhancements, and configurations clearly and thoroughly Present new or enhanced functionality to the support team to ensure smooth knowledge transfer Collaborate with other software engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment Support and, when necessary, assist with installation and maintenance of software applications Contribute to testing efforts through test review, analysis, validation, and certification Benefits & Perks: Brooksource offers competitive medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care FSA, and supplemental coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
