WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PART-TIME ROOM ATTENDANT at THE ANDAZ OTTAWA

We have an exciting opportunity within Housekeeping as a Room Attendant.

Please join our housekeeping team as a Part-time Room attendant. Our room attendants create more than clean spaces—they create moments of comfort and care. What is expected of me in this role?

Operational

• Sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors

• Vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies

• Dust and polish furniture and fittings

• Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner

• Clean/disinfect windows, washbasins, mirrors, tubs, toilets and showers with the proper chemicals.

• Make up beds and change linens as required

• Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies

• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards. Observe and report damage of hotel property

Customer Service:

• Respond to guest queries and requests and provide exceptional guest service at all times

Security and Safety:

• Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms

• Follow all company safety and security procedures

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; reach, pull, use hands or finger; or feel objects, tools or controls; may need to lift boxes (up to 30 lbs);

• Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are based on the hotel's operational needs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to understand the service orders and requirements

• Ability to learn cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials

• Ability to learn how to operate cleaning equipment

• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, push, squat, kneel bend and lift up to 30lbs

• Ability to work in a team with integrity and confidentiality
