Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager A well-known Food Manufacturer is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager to lead all food safety, quality, and regulatory programs at a high-volume manufacturing facility. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a strong food safety culture across the site. Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with internal standards and all local, state, federal, and international food safety regulations Oversee finished product quality and positive release programs Lead the design, implementation, and execution of food safety and quality systems , including HARPC, supplier quality, inspections, and food protection programs Serve as the site's Food Safety Team Leader , driving training initiatives and strengthening food safety culture Manage sanitation, allergen control, environmental monitoring, and pest control programs Maintain readiness for and lead third-party audits and certifications (e.g., GFSI, FDA, Kosher, Halal) Oversee traceability and recall programs , including mock recall exercises Investigate customer complaints and regulatory inquiries and provide timely responses Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Provide technical leadership on food safety, quality, food defense, and regulatory matters Qualifications 2-4+ years of experience in food safety/quality leadership within manufacturing Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (preferred) Strong knowledge of HARPC, FSMA, and regulatory compliance requirements Certifications preferred: PCQI and Food Defense Coordinator Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
