The Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD) at WashU Medicine provides essential services that sustain the medical campus' mission of excellence in patient care, research, and education. Our team delivers operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management to ensure efficient, safe, and innovative facility operations.As WashU Medicine continues to expand its clinical, research, and teaching footprint across and beyond campus, OFMD remains a trusted partner, driving excellence through seamless facility management and unwavering support of the university's mission.
Responsible for all facilities-related operations at WashU Medicine. Operators monitor several different building automation software and three unique fire alarm software to support the 24/7 operation of researchers and campus community partners. Provides emergency response to A/BSL3 laboratories, vivariums, data centers, climate rooms, freezer farms, and other various campus assets. In the event of degraded infrastructure, functions as dispatch for Facilities Engineering skilled trades to support the timely repair of degraded building systems during off-shifts.
