Overview

A global professional services firm is seeking a Conflicts New Business Analyst to support the firm's new business intake and risk management processes. This role is responsible for conducting preliminary research and analysis to identify potential conflicts of interest and client-related risks.

As a key point of contact in the intake process, this individual plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of information used to evaluate new clients and matters.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial review of conflicts requests and gather necessary information from internal stakeholders

  • Compile detailed conflicts reports using internal databases and external research tools

  • Perform research and analysis to identify potential conflicts of interest and compliance risks
  • Prepare new client evaluation reports outlining ethical, financial, and reputational risks
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to summarize and communicate steps needed to resolve conflicts
  • Process client due diligence and AML requests to verify client information and assess risk
  • Support initiatives to improve data quality, reporting, and intake processes
  • Serve as a point of contact during the intake process to ensure accuracy and completeness of submissions
  • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of research or analytical experience in a legal, professional services, or academic environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with conflicts, compliance, or risk management processes preferred
  • Familiarity with corporate research tools and database systems is a plus
  • Experience with conflicts or intake systems is a plus
