Job Description

Car Wash Manager The Manager’s purpose is to operate and manage a car wash in the most efficient and effective manner to be productive and profitable. There is a need to develop and maintain a staff of assistant managers and production employees to focus on continuous improvement of customer service, quality of vehicle cleanliness, and safety. Expectations Must be a team player, leader, and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity Demonstrate exceptional customer service to all customers Committed to satisfying customers Able to communicate with customers, employees, and co‑workers Must maintain a clean and professional appearance and behavior Able to problem solve and ask questions when needed Ability to learn in depth car wash functions and maintenance functions of a car wash Key Responsibilities Manage training or schedule training for all new employees and continually train existing employees Supervise and delegate tasks to employees Lead employees Cleaning of entire facility, including digging and sucking the pit Communicate and help customers Resolve conflict with customers and with employees Fix minor to major mechanical problems Identify problems with the car wash equipment, solve or direct to the correct person Handle all end‑of‑day money, tips, and shortages that occur Work with upper management and owner on goals and numbers Schedule employees and training meetings Interview, hire, and fire employees Identify the perfect clean car Account for workplace safety Handle chemicals in a safe manner and know the cost per car Developing Skills Work independently and efficiently Delegate tasks, coach employees, work as a team, and adapt to a changing environment Good with planning and organizing Problem solve and make decisions on your own High communication skills, both face‑to‑face, email, and phone Qualifications Team Player Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 6 months Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co‑workers Ability to stand for more than 8 hours, walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching/squatting Frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 20–50 lbs is required Ability to work in all weather conditions Disclaimer The list of responsibilities is not exhaustive but is merely the most accurate list for the current job.
